Personally, I Blame Bush

From SOTU:

“As we take the fight to al Qaeda, we are responsibly leaving Iraq to its people. As a candidate, I promised that I would end this war, and that is what I am doing as president. We will have all of our combat troops out of Iraq by the end of this August. We will support the Iraqi government as they hold elections, and continue to partner with the Iraqi people to promote regional peace and prosperity. But make no mistake: this war is ending, and all of our troops are coming home.”

Is there anything more rodent like than taking credit for another’s accomplishments? OK… so a weasel is not technically a rodent, but vermin is as vermin does.

  1. Disappointed there’s a remote possibility the US won’t have a military presence in Iraq for the next 60-odd years?

Don’t worry the sun never sets…

The good, old US of A is in the Middle East to stay.

We’ll be there ‘tending the garden of democracy’ for the rest of our lifetimes at the very least.

  2. That may be an insult to rodents.

Shocking that Obama made this statement. Just finished listening to the Chilcot enquiry with Blair as the principle witness. He has maintained this resolute position since the day war broke out and with conviction. Perhaps Obama would like to pop over and endorse him now since he was so very happy for Bush and Blair to be the fall guys over the so called “wrongs” in Iraq.

  4. Good point Alison. As always with Obama, he thinks the stars and planets orbit around his head.
